Plant Select NV is specialised in the production of bamboo and is the market leader in tissue culture propagation of this plant. In vitro production results in a uniform product and allows plants to be propagated all year round. In order to meet the increasing demand for production, the company continues to invest in research and development to further optimise plant propagation protocols. They also look at specific climate settings.
We approached ILVO because they have the appropriate infrastructure to test a number of scenarios on a pilot scale. The results already look very promising and allow us to optimise the multiplication process even further.
